The LAM Foundation is a small yet mighty non-profit that helps fund research and educates patients suffering from Lymphangioleiomyomatosis, a rare lung disease primarily effecting women. I became involved with this organization when one of my closest friends from childhood was diagnosed. She asked me to create an advertising campaign funded by UNC Chapel Hill’s Eshelman Institute to increase awareness of the new clinical guidelines for diagnosis and treatment. I ended up becoming their agency for six years, concepting and designing fundraising campaigns and development materials for direct mail, social, e-commerce and convention spaces. I also helped them define their brand voice and visual guidelines, designed holiday greetings, email newsletters, medical posters, and logos for the annual World Wide LAM Awareness campaign every June.
